Did you see me (Leaf) at a conference recently, and did you get a “questions for reflection” card from me? Or did you see a question posted online?
I’m Leaf, and I’m writing a book about the human side of being a developer. You can read more of my writing here.
The questions on the cards are all potential questions for reflection in the book! Get draft content, hear about book progress, and have the opportunity to have input into the book by signing up below:

About the cards
In preparation for meeting a whole bunch of people at LeadDev StaffPlus and the Grace Hopper Celebration, I wanted something fun to hand out.
Stickers, for sure. I love stickers. That was easy.
But when I saw Ben Lloyd Pearson handing out “affirmations” at the Enterprise Technology Leadership Summit, I knew he was onto something.
He offered people a deck of small cards, and I chose “Delete the code you don’t want to see in the world” from the deck. Clever!
I considered being a copycat, but I was struggling to come up with more than about three affirmations. Once I decided to make it “questions for reflection” instead, well… I thought of 50 pretty quickly, enough to make a full set.
And then I thought of another 50.

I made a design, using my creature friend. Then I whisked them off to moo.com (here’s a moo.com referral link that gets you and me a discount).
The “soft touch” finish that MOO’s bot suggested turned out not to be what I was looking for. They came out more satiny than smooth, which makes them stick together more than a deck of cards should.
But otherwise, I’m pleased with how they came out.
They were a hit at LeadDev! Looking forward to handing out more at Grace Hopper.
A few people asked for the whole list of questions. Here they are:
